The Football is a
fusion of classic Pitts Special or Knight Twister fuselage lines
with advanced elliptical wings. Despite being pleasantly
un-symmetrical, careful design involving four revisions produces
excellent 3D performance. It does the best upright and
inverted harriers of any airplane that I have flown. The
roll-rate is fast and axial, and knife-edge coupling is minimal.
The unique full fuselage is simple to construct (download manual
here) and makes for a very
rigid and strong structure. The Football is a head-turner
wherever it goes!
Materials needed:
3mm Depron foam, 1.5mm carbon fiber rod,
0.014-0.030" carbon fiber strip, free-flight wheels, music wire,

"Football" Hints
Do it all in a basketball court! The Football is designed to do it all
inside a regular sized basketball court.
Keep it Light!
I have specify recommended gear for this airplane. Make sure that
your gear is the same weight or less. If you do have heavier
stuff, scale up the plans to keep the same wing loading!
Bill Barber
Do you remember Bill Barber and his black and white Super Stearman?
He kept the airplane at Willow Run Airfield in Ypsilanti, MI.
